Breanne Jenay Benson, AMFT, APCC
PhD Doctoral Student - Transpersonal Psychology
My work is grounded in a depth-oriented and embodied approach to psychotherapy that invites a more meaningful relationship with yourself and your life.
I am interested in what exists beneath the surface of experience. This includes the emotional undercurrents, the patterns that quietly shape how we relate to ourselves and others, and the ways earlier experiences continue to live on in the present.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware. They have often engaged in personal growth before, yet find that insight alone has not created the kind of change they are seeking. There can be a sense that something remains unresolved, or that life is being lived at a distance rather than from a place of full presence.
My approach is grounded in the understanding that the patterns we carry are not random. They are intelligent adaptations that developed in response to specific environments, relationships, and experiences. Over time, however, these same patterns can begin to limit a sense of aliveness, connection, and internal steadiness.
In addition to my clinical training, my work is shaped by a broader interest in human experience, meaning, and the ways we make sense of our lives. I am drawn to the stories we carry, both consciously and outside of awareness, and how these narratives influence perception, identity, and possibility.
This perspective allows therapy to move beyond symptom-focused work and into a deeper exploration of how you relate to yourself, your experiences, and the life you are living. I view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in presence, curiosity, and respect. My intention is to offer a space where you feel supported in exploring what has shaped you, while also opening to what may be possible moving forward. My practice is supervised by Laura Rose, Licensed Therapist LMFT #83808 of Rose Therapy Practice.
